Is it really possible, the Wii is cheap, but evolutionary it is not. Betray you, your thoughts do! And yes Sarick, games 20 years ago are still fun, so why buy a Wii?
Saying developers don't want to reach great new heights, is like saying NASA doesn't want to reach Mars because it might be too far away! Wii just doesn't allow developers room to move at all. Wii will continue to get the cheap(?), budget games, 360 and PS3 will continue to be the showcase for developers talents.
The Wii is dragging us backwards. Let's make $20 games, that take a month to develop, and sell them for $100. Gee, what a bargain! Wii is actually more of a rip-off than anything. I think I can hear violins playing somewhere! Come on, Blu-ray gave HD-DVD a head start. They even delayed the PS3 and put up it's prices just to give it a chance. You can't get much more sporting than that!

I thought Sony had been working on Blu-ray since the early Nineties! And not just Sony, a whole Blu-ray group. So all those people and there lawyers missed this patent huh! I doubt it very much!
Man, I think I'm gonna hurl. Microsoft is really trying to rectify the problem. Gee. Has he got his autographs back, no. Problem not rectified. It's OK they gave him all that stuff. In the end though, it's the same as a kiss on the behind, just after being kicked in the head. There is a moral to the story here. If you gold plate your 360, when it breaks, just keep it or sell it, and buy a PS3.
Even if the 360 had HD-DVD built in, you wouldn't be able to hear the movies anyways. It's too frickin loud! Ha!
I guess you are the most unbiased person on the planet, is that right. Who are you to say MGS4 is not a killer app. Maybe it won't move as many units as Halo 3 did. But it's going to be far far better game than Halo 3 ever could dream of being. That's what I hate about the term killer app. The term doesn't represent the quality of the game just the number of systems sold. Have you seen a Wii playing on HDTV. It makes it look worse than it already is. Pixelated, and blurry. People really don't want to playing it on a HDTV.

Bioshock is more of a Killer App than Halo 3! Way better graphics too. Actually, better game. Actually, you are right, Halo 3 is a system seller, therefore that makes it a Killer app. Why it sold sold so many systems though does puzzle me. A friend of mine prefered Bioshock over Halo 3. Go figure.
Why are we even mentioning the Wii in this battle? Sony are going after a very different market than the Wii! If it can pick up a few casual gamers along the way ala, Little Big Planet then fine. But really it's beyond comparisons.

I have a PS3, so I can use those features. But all I'm really interested in is the movie. I do love the special features section on the BD, but that's all the extra content I need. Anyone else the same?
If you just want to watch a HD movie without massive downloading. Which is really the whole point, isn't it!
